Our Story
Who We Are
Brian Ortiz is the founder of The Refining Ground, a youth development program helping students build accountability, confidence, discipline and purpose. Having overcome struggles as a youth, addiction and incarceration himself, Brian now uses his lived experience, mentorship, and structured programming to help youth develop discipline, make better decisions, and break negative cycles. His work focuses on prevention, intervention, and helping students build a stronger future.
